Strategic partnership between the Hungarian Government and Henkel

Henkel has been present in Hungary as a major operator for nearly three decades. In 2015, they achieved a net income of over EUR 350 million, thus over HUF 100 billion, which was based on the contribution of all three branches – washing and detergent products, general public beauty and hair care products, as well as general public and professional adhesives and industrial materials and technologies.
For Henkel, the predictable, stable business environment and innovation are of key importance: they are continuously developing and investing in both the Körösladány plant for washing and detergent products, as well as the factory in Környe which produces water-based and electronics adhesives, due to which they are employing approximately 1,000 workers.
Simultaneously to the signing of the strategic partnership agreement, they opened a new, innovative hot-melt manufacturing unit in Környe - the superb quality adhesives produced at the unit will be used for hygienic products such as baby and adult diapers, female hygienic products or hospital and institutional disposable products.
The purpose of the strategic partnership programme is the promotion of the investment of companies established in Hungary, an increase in employment, implementation of production of higher added value, integration of companies in vocational training and the development of stronger ties with domestic suppliers. The strategic partners of the Hungarian government provide work to over 200,000 people and are currently employing 15,000 more people than at the time of the conclusion of the strategic agreements. The ratio of the Hungarian suppliers of strategic partners has increased by an average of 4% since the signing of the agreements.
