Leading German Automotive Supplier to set up new Capacities to Serve Growing EV Demand

Germany-based technology group ZF invests EUR 62.5 million to implement two large-scale projects in Debrecen and Kecskemét, two automotive strongholds in Hungary. The investments that will create 313 new jobs is set to provide capacities to manufacture auto parts in the EV segment.
Global technology group ZF is expanding its operations by setting up two new sites in Hungary. The German automotive supplier partners up with premium OEMs BMW and Mercedes-Benz, based in Debrecen and Kecskemét, respectively, to serve future demand that arises due to their new vehicle platforms.
ZF’s investments total EUR 62.5 million. Production in Kecskemét will take place in a hall of 17,700 square meters, whereas the Debrecen operation will be run in a facility of 13,700 square meters. ZF will supply the German OEMs with front and rear axles which the company assembles just-in-sequence in its own plant.
ZF’s new sites are scheduled to be up and running by the end of Q4 2024 just next door to their newly secured customers.
