IT Services Hungary (ITSH), the largest ICT provider and employer of Hungary and member of Deutsche Telekom Group has officially occupied its new headquarters in Budapest. The overall area of the office building complex covers more than 17,000 square metres, it is equipped with cutting edge technology, it is environment-friendly and designed according to the principles of Alternative Workspace Strategy (AWS). Beside contributing to employee satisfaction, this building complex represents a huge step forward to the preparation for the challenges of the future and 5G networks.
IT Services Hungary, which uniquely provides the whole portfolio of ICT outsourcing services, celebrated the 10th anniversary of its foundation in 2017. Due to its continuous growth, this past decade was enough for the company specialized in servicing international clients to develop into the largest ICT employer if Hungary, employing more than 4700 members of staff. Beside the head office located in Budapest, there are other premises in Debrecen, Pécs and Szeged, closely cooperating with the institutes of higher education. Since December 2015 ITSH has been a strategic partner for the Hungarian Government.
In the new office building situated in the Mill Park the employees have the opportunity to work in an ergonomic environment and choose from 2371 workstations, 20 teleconferencing booths, 4 meeting rooms, 3 videoconference rooms and 2 TelePresence rooms. This provides an ideal opportunity to work on such future-shaping developments like the 5G network, which was first tested live in Hungary by Telekom in early July this year, thanks to the work of ITSH, as well.
Currently there are about 110 business service centres (BSC) operating in Hungary, employing 46,000 persons belonging typically to Generation Y (born between 1980 and 1999) who have a degree and speak multiple foreign languages. A good command of a foreign language is a cardinal issue in this sector, since the Hungarian centres usually work on an average with 5 languages, but there is one site that provides services in 30 languages.
On the basis of the 2017 data of the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (HCSO) the most important foreign trade partner of Hungary was Germany. Germany's proportion in the total Hungarian foreign trade turnover was 26.9%. Moreover, Germany is the biggest capital investor in Hungary at present. In 2015 the foreign direct investment (FDI) coming from the largest economy of Europe reached 21.7 billion euros, which represents 28% (more than one quarter) of the total FDI stock.
