Construction of BMW Group Plant Debrecen Enters A New Phase - VIDEO REPORT

Now that basic infrastructure such as public utilities, roads and parking lots have been provided, BMW Group Plant Debrecen is ready to enter the next phase of the project to erect buildings. The investment of over EUR 1 billion that is bound to create more than 1,000 new jobs will be a strategic unit of the BMW Group production network.
The company plans a unique production capacity in Debrecen that will allow to supply its customers in Europe and overseas in the premium car segment. Initial construction activities started at the site of 400 hectares in 2020, and up next are the works related to the central office building, the training center and the data centers.

Construction of the main technology buildings is due to begin in the upcoming months.
The Munich-based BMW Group, with a history of over a hundred years, is a top premium car and motorcycle manufacturer. As the owner of BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce and BMW Motorrad, the corporate group that employs some 120,000 people globally had a turnover of nearly EUR 99 billion in 2020.
