German-based connectivity solution specialist Rosenberger completed its latest investment project in Hungary aimed at expanding manufacturing capacity.

With the support of the HIPA Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency, the EUR 25.2 million investment increases the capacity of all three Hungarian Rosenberger factories, Jászárokszállás, Jászberény and Nyírbátor.

The project strengthens the company’s position in a key segment of electromobility, the production of high-voltage energy and data transmission cables and connectors for automotive electronics.

This is Rosenberger’s sixth major investment in cooperation with HIPA. On the occasion of the project’s official completion, Rosenberger and the Hungarian Government signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement, focusing on innovation, workforce training and the further strengthening of supplier relations.

The company was founded in 1958 in Bavaria by Hans Rosenberger, who transformed his father-in-law's locksmith's shop into Hans Rosenberger Maschinenbau. The firm has become of the world's leading manufacturers of high-frequency coax connectors and high-voltage connector systems for electric vehicles.

Rosenberger has been operating in Hungary since 1998. The group employs around 15,000 people worldwide, nearly 5,000 of whom in Hungary.

HIPA was established in 2014 as a national investment promotion organisation, governed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The agency’s most important task is to provide professional assistance to foreign and Hungarian companies wishing to invest in Hungary. Between 1 January 2014 and 31 December 2025, HIPA guided 2,305 projects in value of more than EUR 66 billion to create close to 187,000 new jobs.
