Thanks to the new technology applied at the Székesfehérvár plant, production capacity will increase by 50 percent.

American company Howmet provides advanced engineering solutions globally for the aerospace and transportation industries. The company's activities focus primarily on the production of jet engine components, aerospace fastener systems, and aircraft structural elements.

At the Howmet-Köfém Kft. plant in Székesfehérvár, the company is primarily engaged in aluminum press forging, machining, and surface treatment. The company's EUR 44.9 million investment has been inaugurated, resulting in the creation of 80 new jobs in the region.

As part of the project, a new 5,500 m² warehouse equipped with automated technology was built, resulting in a 50 percent increase in manufacturing capacity. The Dura Bright surface treatment technology, developed in Hungary and applied in the new warehouse, is at the forefront of industry standards and offers significant advantages over traditional solutions.

Over the past ten years, Howmet has implemented investments totaling approximately EUR 225 million in the region, contributing to the economic development and future of Székesfehérvár. 80 percent of the company’s products are sold on the European market, while the remaining 20 percent is sold in Japan, Australia, and the United States.

In terms of projects managed by HIPA, last year, 16 American investments were announced, representing a total volume of approximately EUR 480 million and creating over 800 new jobs. This marks a record in both volume and number of projects.

Between 2014 and 2025, with the support of HIPA, 185 positive decisions were made regarding projects related to the metal industry (including VNT and Factory Rescue Programmes), with a total value of approximately EUR 966 million. The projects involved in the VNT and Factory Rescue Programmes create over 2,550 new jobs and have preserved almost 22,000 jobs.
