Series of New Investments by Harman in Hungary

Audio electronics specialist Harman International is set to start a series of investments in Hungary.
The global leader in premium automotive audio and infotainment systems is launching three projects with the support of the HIPA Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency. With a total value of EUR 131.18 million, the investment will create 25 new high value-added jobs in research and development.
As part of the expansion, Harman’s Budapest R&D center will focus on software and hardware development supporting autonomous vehicle functions. In Székesfehérvár, the company will carry out experimental development related to autonomous systems and information management solutions for the expanded collaboration between Harman and global automakers.
A third project will enhance production capacities in Székesfehérvár and Pécs through digitalization and automation technologies, alongside the installation of solar parks at both sites.
Harman International brings together globally recognized audio brands such as JBL, Denon, AKG and Marantz, and has been a subsidiary of Samsung since 2017. The company has been present in Hungary for more than 30 years. It employs around 30,000 people worldwide, including more than 4,000 in Hungary.
